Travelling out of Stornoway town centre passing the Western Isles Hospital follow the roadway across the  Barvas Moor. Continue along the roadway bearing to your right after the Barvas Filling Station and travel through the villages  of Barvas Ballantrushal Shader Borve and Galson until you reach the district of Ness.
